Free Roof Inspections in Tulsa, OK

Serving Tulsa and the Surrounding Metro

Our roof inspections in Tulsa are free, on-site, and built around what Oklahoma weather actually does to a roof. We document hail bruising, wind-lifted shingles, granule loss, flashing failures, and the small leaks that turn into deck rot if no one catches them.

Schedule a free inspection after a hailstorm, before you call your insurance carrier, or as part of your annual roof maintenance. We deliver a clear written report with photos so you know exactly what your roof needs next. As the longest-tenured GAF Master Elite® contractor in Oklahoma, we have inspected Tulsa-area roofs since 1987.

What Happens During a Tulsa Roof Inspection

Every Arrowhead roof inspection starts on the ground and ends with a written report. Our technician walks the property, photographs the roof system, and works through a documented checklist for hail damage, wind damage, flashing condition, ventilation, and signs of active leaks.

We inspect both residential and commercial roofs across the Tulsa metro, Northwest Arkansas, and Eastern Kansas. Roof inspections are always free, and there is no obligation to move forward with repairs.

If we find storm damage that may qualify for an insurance claim, we will document it with photos and a detailed scope of work. We can also meet your insurance adjuster on the roof during their inspection. Arrowhead Roofing is not a licensed public adjuster, and we do not negotiate insurance claims. Our role is to inspect, document, and help you understand what the roof actually needs.

Common Roof Problems

During every inspection, we look for storm damage, wear and tear, and small failures that often turn into roof leaks if no one catches them. This is the working checklist our technicians use on Tulsa-area roofs.

  • Missing shingles. We check for shingles blown off in straight-line winds or knocked loose by hail. Even one missing tab exposes the underlayment and can start a slow leak that rots the deck.
  • Hail damage. We document dents, bruises, and granule loss on the shingle surface. Hail strikes shorten shingle life and often qualify for an insurance claim if the strike pattern is recent.
  • Wind damage. We look for shingles that have been lifted, creased, or torn by high winds. Oklahoma routinely sees 60-mph-plus gusts that break shingle seals without visibly removing the shingle.
  • Lifted or curled shingles. We check for shingles that have curled, cupped, or lifted off the deck due to wind, age, or poor installation. Lifted shingles let wind-driven rain underneath.
  • Soft-metal damage. We inspect flashing, vents, and metal accessories for hail bruising. Soft metals show hail strikes clearly and are one of the most reliable storm-date indicators an adjuster will look for.
  • Gutter and downspout damage. We check gutters for hail dents, separations, and clogs. Failing gutters back water up under the shingle edge and onto the fascia.
  • Pest damage. We look for chewed shingles, nesting in soffits and vents, and squirrel or raccoon entry points. Wildlife damage is rarely covered by insurance and needs to be caught early.
  • Exposed or popped nails. We flag nails that have backed out through thermal cycling or improper installation. Each exposed nail head is a future leak.
  • Chimney and wall flashing. We inspect flashing around chimneys, walls, and roof-to-wall transitions for gaps, rust, and pulled fasteners. Flashing is the most common source of leaks on otherwise sound roofs.
  • Roof debris. We clear and inspect for branches, leaves, and storm debris that trap moisture, hide damage, and accelerate shingle wear, especially on low-slope and flat sections.
  • Cracked vent boots and pipe collars. We check rubber pipe boots and metal vent collars for splits and weathering. These are an easy fix when caught early and a major leak source when missed.
  • Worn underlayment. We assess the underlayment for tears, slippage, or degradation visible at the eaves and roof edges. Compromised underlayment removes the secondary water barrier.
  • Skylight seals. We inspect skylight frames, glazing, and flashing for cracked seals and hail damage. Skylights are leak-prone after hail events and often missed during quick inspections.
  • Moss, algae, and lichen growth. We look for biological growth on shaded slopes. Moss and lichen hold moisture against the shingle surface and shorten roof life.
  • Attic ventilation problems. We evaluate intake and exhaust ventilation. Blocked or unbalanced ventilation traps heat and moisture in the attic, which cooks shingles from below and can void manufacturer warranties.

Roof Inspections FAQ

How do I know if I need a roof inspection?

Schedule a free roof inspection if you notice any of the following: a recent hail or high-wind event in the Tulsa area, a tree branch impact, interior leaks or wet spots on the ceiling, bubbling paint, condensation around windows, missing shingles visible from the ground, granules collecting in your gutters or downspouts, or several neighbors getting new roofs after the same storm.

Catching damage early protects the roof deck, keeps small leaks from turning into structural repairs, and starts the insurance documentation clock before the carrier deadline runs out.

How often should I get a roof inspection?

We recommend a free annual inspection for residential roofs, twice a year for commercial roofs, and an additional inspection after any major Tulsa-area storm involving hail or sustained winds above 50 mph. Annual inspections are the cheapest way to extend the life of the roof and stay ahead of leaks.

How long does a roof inspection take?

Most residential inspections take 30 to 60 minutes. Larger or more complex roofs, and roofs with visible storm damage that needs full photo documentation, can run longer. We will work around your schedule and confirm the appointment window before we arrive.

Should I get a roof inspection before filing a claim?

Yes. We recommend a professional inspection before you file. Insurance carriers want documented evidence of storm damage, and walking into the claim with photos, measurements, and a written report gives you a clear record from day one.

Arrowhead Roofing is not a licensed public adjuster, and we do not negotiate insurance claims. We document storm damage, provide inspection reports, and meet with insurance adjusters on-site. See our full guide to roof insurance claims for what to expect at each step.

Will a roof inspection damage my roof?

No. Our technicians know how to walk a roof without damaging it. We follow GAF installation and safety protocols, and we never lift, fold, or tear shingles to fabricate damage.

This is one reason it matters who you let on the roof. Door-knocker crews after a hailstorm have a documented history of causing damage during inspections. Stick with a credentialed local roofer.

What happens after the roof inspection?

You receive a written report with photos showing what we found and what your roof needs. If repairs are warranted, we provide a clear, itemized estimate. If the roof is in good shape, we tell you that and recommend when to schedule the next inspection.

Why should I choose Arrowhead Roofing for roof inspections?

We have inspected Tulsa-area roofs since 1987 and we are the longest-tenured GAF Master Elite® contractor in Oklahoma. We also hold GAF 3-Star President’s Club status, a designation earned by a small fraction of Master Elite contractors nationwide.

That tenure matters on inspections. Our technicians have seen every Oklahoma storm pattern of the last four decades, which makes it harder for damage to slip past us and easier to spot the difference between cosmetic wear and a legitimate insurance event.
